So a couple weeks ago was USU's homecoming. My way good friend, Logan, asked me to go with him. I first met Logan my freshman year in Snow Hall, he lived across the hall. We became insta-friends and practically siblings. Anyway, the theme for homecoming was "Your Favorite Decade." My first idea was to go as the Great Depression....but we couldn't get "outfits" in time for the dance so we decided to go as peeps from da 80's. The dance was way fun and we looked pretty dang awesome!
After the dance at around midnight....USU has a tradition of being a "True Aggie." At midnight if there is a full moon or if it's homecoming or A-day, one may become a "True Aggie." To acquire said title, you must kiss on the "A" in front of Old Main. Me and Logan love watching awkward people and awkward moments so we decided to go and watch, little did we know we were about to have a very interesting moment of our own.
We were waiting for all the ruckus to begin when a girl came up to us and asked if we would be in a picture for the USU newspaper and website. They had 3 other couples from different decades and needed one more and we were the lucky duckies! All the couples gathered around the "A" and the photographer began to give her instructions, "Okay guys, we're going to take 3 pictures of everyone smiling, then we're going to take a picture of the couples kissing." EXCUSE ME?! Um, REALLY?! I'm going to kiss one of my best friends/brother? REALLY?!! It got very awkward, very fast!! For the first picture Logan put his head in front of mine to make it look like we were kissing, but the photographer wouldn't have that. So we actually had to touch lips....oh, and don't worry- the lighting was less than perfect so she took like 12 pictures!!
Afterward, me and Logan felt kinda like we had just broken a huge rule....kinda like we were incest. But we were able to laugh it off and we joke about it all the time now. The pictures never made it to the newspaper because the football team actually won the homecoming game, so that covered all the pages....but don't worry, the USU website couldn't let us down!!

I am a True Badger. Most awkward two minutes of my life. Maybe it wasn't even that long. The moral of the story is this - I hated it. I just wanted the shirt. And I got it.
